2020- A Year in Review

As we reflect on 2020, we are filled with gratitude. There were many challenges and unusual circumstances, but God carried us through, as he is always so faithful to do. Despite the obstacles, our alliance of supporters invested in the vision of improved physical, emotional, and spiritual health in our region. Through your faithful giving, Access Health Alliance made a meaningful impact in the lives of thousands of people in our region. You made that possible. Thank you!

Your Impact

With over 18,000 individuals registered in our medical records system, AHA’s influence reaches far into the surrounding region. The need is clear and ongoing for quality, compassionate healthcare. Together, our Alliance was able to make a difference in the lives of so many people.

In 2020, AHA saw record highs in all categories of patient care. After several low census months after the arrival of COVID-19 in Haiti, our clinic was surprised to exceed our previous annual record.

Your Investment

The second half of 2020 brought great economic instability to Haiti with rapidly changing exchange rates. This resulted in our US equivalent expenses increasing significantly.

Your faithful contributions ensured that we were able to keep the medical facility staffed, stocked, and open to serve the healthcare needs of our region.

Total 2020 Expenditures: $102,691

In 2020 AHA was able to purchase four water trucks to fill our clinic cistern during an extended dry season. This enabled us to continue giving water to our community when all other public cisterns were already dry. Additionally, construction on a new, sturdier perimeter wall was begun at the medical facility property.

This was only possible because of the generous support of you, our financial partners. Thank you!

We conclude a great year of accomplishments and yet see so much more that could be done to improve health in our region. We look forward to sharing this great endeavour with you as we grow to further realize our vision through 2021 and beyond!
